More efficiency, more reliability, lower costs: customers’ requirements for rail freight transport of the future are nothing new, but in an age of digital transformation and fastpaced markets, the demand for innovative technical services is great. In 2016, DB Cargo and VTG AG joined together to launch the Innovative freight wagons” research project on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI).
