Our services for you

Wood logistics services from a single source

Our rail-based logistics concepts for raw and square-sawn timber, chipboards, pellets, waste wood and wooden construction component combine single wagonload and block train services with first and last mile truck deliveries to ensure transport is possible throughout Europe. Management of consignments is provided by a single source, and we also offer transhipment, warehousing and other services. Not only does our network include some 200 timber transhipment stations in Germany, but it also extends to international railports for door-to-door deliveries across Europe.

Timberports

We use ourtimber ports to deliver all of the services needed for the correct storage, transhipment and securing of timber cargo. Pooling and temporarily storing consignments makes it possible to separate road and rail services for wood logistics customers, which makes it easier for smaller firms to tap into the benefits of the eco-friendly rail network.

Special equipment

We complement our range of special equipment for raw and sawn timber by adding sliding-wall wagons that can carry wooden construction components, chipboards and pellets. If required for a project, we also provide customers with access to special containers for bulk goods or container wagons with a superstructure for log pallets. To meet the needs of tomorrow, we are also converting existing wagons and investing heavily in new equipment, such as our new m2 wagon with a timber-specific superstructure.

From wasteland to loading yard, all thanks to teamwork

The story began with a forecast for an increase in timber damaged by bark beetles in the forests in the state of Thuringia in central Germany. This came at a time when local timber loading yards were stretched to their limit. It was therefore clear that a new timber loading yard had to be built as quickly as possible. A daunting task.
