More efficient wood logistics
DB Cargo Logistics is currently working on new round trip concepts for its wood transport operations in order to improve backloading and thereby significantly increase utilisation and wagon availability. As a result, the company has succeeded in moving several HGV transport operations for an Austrian sawmill onto rail, thereby taking a huge burden off roads in the region over the long term.
